Cookie Policy
A clear explanation of the cookies and related technologies used on the Zuna Logistics website and the choices available to you.
What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on a computer, phone or other device when a website is used. It can help a website maintain a secure session, remember settings or understand how a service is used.
"Similar technologies" can include local storage, pixels, embedded media or other methods that store or access information on a device. In this policy, "cookies" is used as a convenient collective term unless the context requires otherwise.
Session cookies
Usually expire when the browser is closed. They are commonly used for security and temporary service functions.
Persistent cookies
Remain for a stated period or until deleted. They may remember a preference or a signed-in choice.
First-party cookies
Set by zunalogistics.com and used directly by the website or its WordPress services.
Third-party technologies
Provided by another organisation, often when external media or services are loaded or visited.
Cookies Zuna may use
The public information pages can generally be read without signing in. WordPress may set the following strictly necessary or preference cookies when a visitor tests cookies, signs into an investor account, or uses an authenticated service.
| Cookie or pattern | Category | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| wordpress_test_cookie | Strictly necessary | Checks whether the browser accepts cookies so WordPress sign-in and security functions can work correctly. | Session |
| wordpress_logged_in_[hash] | Strictly necessary | Recognises a signed-in user and maintains access to authorised investor or account services. | Usually 2 days, or up to 14 days when "Remember me" is selected |
| wordpress_sec_[hash] wordpress_[hash] | Strictly necessary | Protects authenticated WordPress sessions and secure account areas. | Session or aligned with the selected login period |
| wp-settings-{user_id} wp-settings-time-{user_id} | Preference | Remembers interface settings for a signed-in WordPress user. | Up to 1 year |
Cookie names containing "[hash]" or "{user_id}" vary by installation and user. Durations shown are common WordPress defaults and may change when security or account settings are updated.
Analytics and advertising
At the date shown above, these Zuna page templates do not include advertising pixels, behavioural advertising cookies or a visitor analytics package. If Zuna later introduces non-essential analytics, advertising or personalisation technologies, the register and consent controls should be updated before those technologies are enabled.
External resources and linked services
Some pages load a limited external resource or link to a service operated by another organisation.
- Google Fonts: the homepage may request font files through Google Fonts. The request can disclose basic connection information such as IP address and browser details to the provider.
- Wikimedia Commons: the floating WhatsApp icon may be loaded from Wikimedia's servers, which receive the ordinary technical information needed to deliver the image.
- YouTube preview images: the Why Rwanda page may load thumbnail images from YouTube's image servers. Videos open on YouTube rather than playing automatically on Zuna's page.
- WhatsApp, Google Maps and YouTube links: these services are activated when you choose to follow the link. The destination provider may then set its own cookies under its own policy.
Zuna does not control cookies placed by a third-party website after you leave zunalogistics.com. Review the destination provider's privacy and cookie information before using its service.
How to control cookies
You can manage cookies through any consent control displayed on the website and through your browser settings.
- Use the website's cookie control, if displayed, to accept or reject optional categories.
- Use browser settings to view, block or delete cookies for this site or all sites.
- Use a private browsing mode if you do not want cookies retained after the session.
- Sign out of an investor account when using a shared device.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent login, secure-document access, booking protection or other requested account features from working. Public information should remain generally accessible.
Browser controls vary. Consult the support information supplied by your browser provider for current instructions.
Changes to this cookie policy
We will review this policy when the website, investor portal or service providers change.
The updated version will show a new "last updated" date. If a new non-essential technology requires consent, it should not be activated for a visitor until an appropriate choice has been offered.
Questions about cookies or similar technologies can be sent to info@zunalogistics.com. For information about how related personal data is handled, read our Privacy Policy.
